The southern entrance to the Caledonian Canal from sea Loch Linnhe, at Corpach.

The canal runs from near Fort William to Inverness, a distance of 50nm, of which 22nm are man made.

It was constructed from 1803 to 1822 and the quickest crossing from sea to sea takes 14 hours.
